4、University of Illinois Asian American Alumni Network Scholarship
The University of Illinois Asian American Alumni Network (UIAAAN) is pleasedto offer a scholarship to an outstanding student at the University of Illinois for 2014-2015. UIAAAN strongly believes in investing in our future leaders. One student who has demonstrated dedication and commitment to the Asian and Asian American community will receive a $500 scholarship. The UIAAAN Scholarship recipient will be recognized at the Asian American Cultural Center's Annual Leadership Awards Ceremony on April 21st at 7pm in the Alice Campbell Alumni Center.
Who is eligible?
College students are eligible to be considered for this scholarship if they:
[*]Are a current domestic or international undergraduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and will be enrolled as a n undergraduate or graduate student in the Fall 2014 semester[*]Have attained a University of Illinois cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher[*]Have completed one or more courses related to Asian and Asian American topics[*]Have demonstrated at least a year of leadership in the Asian and Asian American communities through campus and student organizations
Applicant Essay Question
In 500 words or less, please describe how you will use the scholarship to further the knowledge or understanding of Asian and Asian American experiences.
How to apply
All applicants must submit a resume, one letter of recommendation that addresses her/his work in the Asian and Asian American community, unofficial UI transcript, and essay response in one pdf file by Tuesday, April 1, 2014 through email to aacc@illinois.edu.
